Fudgy Hummus Brownies (gluten free, vegan)

Fudgy Hummus Brownies 

Ingredients

  • ½  cup Zacca Traditional Hummus
  • 1 egg (for vegan use flax egg or egg replacer)
  • ½ cup coconut sugar
  • ½ cup almond butter
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips of choice (we used Lily’s Dark Chocolate Chips)

 Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°. Prepare an 8×8 inch baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl combine all ingredients except the chocolate chips. Stir to combine. 
  3. Gently stir in chocolate chips
  4. Pour brownie batter into the prepared baking dish. 
  5. Bake for 23-26 minutes until cooked through. Allow the brownies to cool at least one hour before cutting. You can stick them in the fridge or freezer if needed. Enjoy!
